🌈 Real talk: We're not here to collect your data or spy on you. We're just queer folks making useful tools. This page explains what actually happens when you use our site—in plain English, not legalese.
1. Who We Are
Queer Convert (at trinka.space) is a collection of free online tools made by and for the community. We believe in privacy, inclusivity, and making you smile.

2. What Actually Happens With Your Data
Let's be clear about what "data" means on our site—and what we do (and don't) do with it.

🔒 The most important thing: Your images NEVER leave your computer. The conversion happens right in your browser. We have no way to access your photos—zero, zilch, nada. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
3. Cookies (the edible kind would be nice, but...)
Cookies are tiny text files that websites place on your device. Here's how we use them:
- AdSense cookies: Google uses cookies to show you ads that might actually be relevant (instead of random stuff). These cookies don't tell us anything about you—they're between you and Google.
- Local storage: Your calculator history is saved on YOUR device using your browser's local storage. We can't see it. It stays with you.
- That's it. No tracking cookies, no spy pixels, no creepy fingerprinting.
When you first visit, you'll see a cookie banner where you can choose what to allow. You can always change your mind in your browser settings.

4. Google AdSense & Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. This helps keep the site free and supports the community. Here's what that means:
- Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to our site and other websites.
- These cookies are on YOUR device—not our servers.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.
- We don't control which ads you see—Google does that based on anonymous data.
If you see an ad that's not appropriate for our community, please let us know through our contact page and we'll report it to Google.
5. Your Privacy Rights (In Plain English)
If you're in Europe (GDPR)
- Right to know: You can ask what data we have about you. (Spoiler: we don't have any.)
- Right to delete: You can ask us to delete your data. (There's nothing to delete, but we'd still be nice about it.)
- Right to complain: You can contact your local data protection authority if you want. We're not sure why you would, but you have the right.
If you're in California (CCPA)
- Right to know: Same deal—we don't have your personal info.
- Right to delete: Nothing to delete!
- Right to opt-out: We don't sell your data. Like, at all. That would be gross.
If you're anywhere else
- You have the right to use our tools without being tracked, spied on, or profiled. That's just basic human decency.
6. Data Retention (Fancy Term for "How Long We Keep Stuff")
- Images you convert: They're processed in your browser and immediately discarded. We don't keep them for a microsecond.
- Calculator history: Saved on YOUR device in your browser's local storage. You can clear it by clicking "clear" or clearing your browser data.
- Ad cookies: Expire according to Google's settings (typically 30 days to 2 years, but you can delete them anytime).
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated stats are kept for a while to see trends, but they can't be traced back to you.
7. Children's Privacy
Our tools are for everyone, but if you're under 13, please get parental permission before using the internet. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
8. Security (We Take This Seriously)
- HTTPS encryption - Your connection to our site is secure.
- Client-side processing - Your images never leave your device, so there's nothing to hack.
- Minimal data - We don't have a database of user info, so there's nothing to steal.
- Regular checkups - We keep our code updated and monitor for vulnerabilities.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change anything, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We'll also probably post about it on our GitHub. We won't secretly change things and hope you don't notice—that's not our style.
